Inclusivity is part of it, but at the same time, not alienating ourselves from the rest of the country and the world.” “Maybe if I was a New Yorker and saw something from a company called Fine Southern Gentlemen,” he says, “I would not be as inclined to click on a link or an ad and find out what they were about. He admits that the name change was a business move just as much as a push for inclusivity. The name had been pigeonholing the company, as Weems puts it. “FSG was always the nickname, and most of the folks facing consumers were women.” “It’s a good problem to have, but it was putting the name in front of a ton more people,” Weems says.Įrin Riley, who been with the company about four years and has worn all sorts of hats, from HR to events, is thrilled with the name change. “I thought it was great,” she says. The company started to reach a national audience. In 2020 and especially 2021, as folks were spending an awful lot of time shopping online, FSG’s targeted ads on Facebook seemed to hit precisely the right market, and the brand exploded. The mail-order T-shirt arm did business around the world, not just in the South. Lots of the customers in the physical store, not to mention the staff, were women, transgender, or nonbinary. STR8 to the Drop serves a similar purpose except it these are EDM (mostly Trap) songs that skip the long ass intro and go directly to the drop. Instrumentals is a downloadable playlist that has a bunch of dope instrumentals for those times that you just need 30 seconds for a stage sweep but the current song is about to end. One For the Couches has a ton of great songs for your girls giving private dances. Day Shift Bumpers and Night Shift Bumpers are good break songs for day or night shifts. Opening has some mellow tunes for the start of day. Rather than being based on genre, these cater to specific activities. These are there to help you when traffic is slow or you don’t have enough girls for a constant rotation. Last and certainly not least, if you are an entertainer just looking for some inspiration for your next shift, you will probably enjoy these playlists as well. Additionally, if you are just looking for some new break songs in any of theses genres, come back often as these are continuously updated. If you have a girl that doesn’t want to select her music but knows wants to hear Dubstep, or Country, but you aren’t familiar with either of those, you can fall back on these playlists and you are guaranteed to find some sets the girls will love.
